I absolutely love Halloween. Most people disagree and then think I am weird.
I love it for two reasons: 1. My birthday is the next day and what kid doesn’t love being able to dress up and go around the neighborhood to get candy and then the next day have a birthday with cake and presents.
I love it for reason number 2. because, I love watching scary movies, going to haunted houses and trails and most of all I love the candy! 🙂 It is so much fun to watch how creative people are with their costumes and how much they get into it.
I like it so much that I watched the movie Paranormal Activity 1 all by myself. Crazy I know. It was a good movie though, very interesting. Can’t wait to watch Paranormal Activity 2. Paranormal Activity 3 is in the theaters now, I don’t think I am brave enough to watch it there. haha.
On Saturday, we had stopped at an apple orchard because I wanted apple cider. They were all out! What, lame! So we got Honeycrisp apples. Carl felt bad about not having apple cider and went to the store to get a few things. He came home with apple cider and pumpkins! 🙂 We had gone back and forth about wanting to carve them or not. Well, the deciding factor, roasted pumpkin seeds! Yum! I went a little outside of the box with the second batch, I added Lawry’s Seasoning. Yum, hope they turn out.
I also mixed up all our bags of candy for the trick or treaters, so they can get a good mix of candy! 🙂
This is a picture of a house that I drive by on my way to work. They have almost every Halloween blow up decoration you can imagine. How much is too much?!
Our pumpkins, Carl’s is on the left and mine is on the right. My is named Horton!
#1: Most people do NOT disagree. I think more money is spent on Halloween than most holidays.
#2: I handed out candy in the same bowl
#3: Happy Birthday and thank you for not wishing for a snow storm this year.
Love you!
🙂 Thank you for the birthday wishes. And nope no snow wish this year! I think I have learned my lesson! 🙂
Love the Blondie and Carl stories!
