Two Sweet Peas In A Pod!

I couldn’t resist with the title of this post. This post is dedicated to the greatest best  friend I could ask for, Ms. Natasha, yes you! 🙂

Natasha and I go way back. I would like to think we are sisters separated at birth. 🙂  I had met her through one of her family members. We would see each other at holiday gatherings and every once in awhile but hadn’t locked eyes yet! It was during the spring of 2007, when we really started chatting and a real genuine friendship started forming and the rest is history… 🙂  Natasha was in a different state so we only had phone dates and facebook for our contact which was fantastic. When Natasha moved closer our friendship had grown, we have discovered how much we have in common. We could talk to each other about anything from boys, family, life, work, our dreams and our goals we have in life. Her and I grew closer through our passion of wanting to help others and make a difference. I work in the Criminal Justice Field and at the time she worked with Restorative Justice. Match made in heaven right! 🙂 We would talk about similarities, differences and what we would like to change for hours. I am sure our boyfriends thought we were crazy.

Then low and behold, who would have guessed we would work together. I was working in my position for almost 1 1/2 years and Natasha was looking to relocate. I told her to apply with my company, she would be perfect. I had told my supervisor she wouldn’t disappoint and would be one of the best assets to the company. Well, that girl blew them out of the water and they had hired her! Yahoo, now we get to work together. It was so awesome to just be able to walk to each other’s desks and chat and if either of us needed help with work, we were there. 🙂 Sadly, I had taken a different position and no longer work at that company but we talk daily, no worries. 🙂

Natasha and I both have experienced thick and thin in our own lives and it has been a blessing to call upon each other for support, love, laughter and a shoulder to cry on. In between each of those, a glass of wine or two! 🙂  I know we both are so blessed to have wonderful boyfriends who put up with our talking to each other all the time and the non stop giggling! 🙂

Natasha and I had a wonderful girls day together this weekend. We went to a few boutiques, shops and had lunch at Blondie’s Tavern. What a great fix for a crisp fall day. When we were done we came back home and enjoyed a cup of tea and chatted. Sounds like a few grandmas! 🙂

Here are some pictures of the treasures we found!

Two cute scarves! I love fall and winter, great scarf season

cute, comfortable sweater I got!

Thanks for a fun girls day.

And last but not least, because Natasha is so thoughtful, she got me a fun birthday gift. She knows how much I love wine and or anything wine related. She got me a wine chalkboard! 🙂 We hung it right by the entrance to the kitchen!

Ms. Natasha, thank you so much for being a great friend. Our friendship can only get better from here, it is a true treasure I cherish! I am blessed to have you in my life to support, encourage and challenge me to be a better person. You are truly one of a kind!

Continue to smile and give the positive energy to those around you!

Much love to you Natasha!
