I have returned with a few good things to blog about! š
The other night Carl and I had invited my sister and brother-in-law over for supper and to see our new place. My sister is such a fancy cook and I figured, I need to put some thought into our supper. We have grown up loving seafood of any kind, so that was a must as an appetizer. Then I thought, what can I make that is gluten free and that they will like. I made my favoriteĀ Italian SausageĀ LinguiniĀ (link will take you to my favorite recipes page)Ā Ā recipe with gluten free noodles and gluten free turkey sausage, our appetizer was a Pioneer Woman app! YUM! My sister made a yummy fresh salad that hit all the taste buds with a bang! š
The appetizer was Pioneer Woman’s Spicy Lemon Garlic Shrimp.
This is a picture of PW’s shrimp. If you click on the link above it gives you step by step! You will not be disappointed. It was delicious and super easy to make!
For supper I made my Italian Sausage Linguini. I did a few things different. I didn’t use linguini because I didn’t have noodle in gluten free. I used Tinkyada Brown Rice Spaghetti for my noodle. It is very good and doesn’t taste like rubber. Instead of white cooking wine, I use whatever white wine is open in the refrigerator. You can use anyĀ ItalianĀ sausage, I tried a gluten free turkey sausage to see what it tasted like. I think I prefer a mild to hotĀ ItalianĀ sausage for the dish, it gives it a kick! š
My sister made a yummy fresh green salad with red peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes and gluten free salad dressing.
We cannot forget the new red wine that I had picked up! That was also a good buy!
Primal Roots Red Blend is very good. a must try!
It was a good night of yummy reasonably healthy food, yummy wine, good company and some laughs!
I hope you try the recipes! Enjoy š
Mmmm, delish!
The shrimp was very good, I will make it for you when you come again! š
