Last week was a little crazy at work and I was doing my best to put out all the fires! On Friday night, I was invited to a going away party for a few former co-workers. I definitely had to think about if I should go or not. After work I just wanted to put my pj’s on and curl up on the couch. Then I thought, I would be the lame grandma who goes to bed earlier on a Friday night. 🙂 I also thought that I would get to see many of my friends and former co-workers.
I decided, I SHOULD GO!
I am glad I went. I saw so many familiar faces and laughed so much. It made me appreciate all of the friendships I have made and all of the wonderful people that I had a chance to work with. Besides, seeing my old co-workers, I ran into a few of my friends outside of work friends. It was so great to catch up with them. We kept saying “We need to hang out more”, I totally agree! It was great to catch up and hear what everyone has been up to in their lives. Many people had new significant others, a few were expecting a baby to their family and many were just living life to the fullest. It was great to be apart of that.
By the way, this old lame grandma didn’t get home until 2:00am. 🙂 Oh, I forgot to share, I had the best Black and Bleu cheeseburger (w/o the bun) at the Wild Onion. Yum!
Friendship and laughter are such an important part of life and happiness!
Love your friends and cherish your laughter together. 🙂
