Breakfast Juice #17 and Lunch Juice #18

On Sunday night, we got our juice all figured out and juiced for Monday.

Our morning juice was great and the afternoon was not so great. As Carl said, “It was tart”.

Breakfast Juice #17


  • one handful of spinach
  • 3 peeled oranges
  • 1 apple
  • 1 carrot
  • 12 strawberries (have to use them up)


This was a great refreshing drink. It had great flavor and was not too heavy.

Rating: 7/10 for taste and visual appeal

Lunch Juice #18


  • 1 peeled grapefruit
  • 6 strawberries
  • one handful spinach
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 apple
  • 2 celery stalks
  • 3 kale stalks
  • a few sprigs of mint
  • 1 peeled lemon

I again struggled with the taste of celery and had to add a peeled lemon to cut the taste.


We did not care for this drink. It was tart and didn’t have much flavor other than bland. The lemon did help, but ugh, can’t stand celery anymore. I had handle celery with ranch or blue cheese even peanut butter not in a juice anymore. Sad day.

Rating: 3/10 for taste and visual 

We are making another trip to Costco on Friday. I want to look at beets and sweet potato, I see that in a lot of recipes. Can’t wait to try that. Will be interesting.

I really like our morning drink. I tend to like having the orange and grapefruit in the morning, it is a good pick me up and it is light and refreshing.
