I will apologize for the lack of blog posts, juicing posts and pictures of my dog! haha we have been pretty busy but please don’t let the busy schedule fool you; I have still juiced every day. The last two weekends we did a lot of running around. We helped my brother paint his new house both Saturday and Sunday and we had our monthly dinner date with our friends, it was mexican themed. Yum! The following weekend we did a lot of running on Saturday, we both got hair cuts, Carl ran to the mall for a few new shirts and we ran a few other errands. On Sunday Carl’s parents came for a few hours to have lunch and to see Mr. Arie. We had dry rub seasoned chicken thighs on the grill, corn on the cob on the grill and oven roasted baby red potatoes. It was a great easy meal; ice cream sundaes was the dessert. 🙂

This LONG holiday weekend has started out great. We both had today off and took to the Minnesota State Fair. We haven’t been there in two years, so we decided to go this year because Carl got tickets through his work. Most everyone goes to the MN State Fair for what else “FOOD ON A STICK” You can practically get anything on a stick there. We didn’t go too crazy with food this year, now that I am gluten free we had to be very careful with food because I did not want to get sick.

So our yummy fair food was the following, I had a chocolate malt, roasted corn on the cob, nachos and a flight of wine. Nothing too exciting. Carl had two beers, a pronto pup and mini donuts. We did split a small cup of the fresh french fries. Between the two of us we spent about $50-$60, that is not bad at all. I was listening to the radio the other morning and people were calling in to say how much they spent at the fair and people were saying they spent between $300-$400, that is insane.

Bucket List-

One of my bucket list items is to be on one of the local news stations-Kare 11. I have grown up watching Kare 11 and it has been my dream to be on the show in some way. A few years back I got a picture and autograph with one of the weather anchors. Today, I got two pictures and two autographs of two anchors today. We sat for the 1/2 hour segment as well. It was a lot of fun and we made it on tv a few times. 🙂
