Cheap thrills when you get older and have your own place and a big kitchen. Carl and I have figured out our plans for Christmas this year. We offered to make Christmas dinner for his family and in order to make the scrumptious meal, I “needed” a dutch oven. Ok, didn’t “NEED” but it would make everything much better for sure. I am not saying what I am making yet as it is a surprise.

I did a little research last night and today for a dutch oven, there are a lot of choices. I asked my three older sisters their feedback on them. They all recommended getting a bigger one so you can always double a recipe and have the room. I had two in mind at Bed Bath and Beyond.

1st choice- a 7 qt Calphalon Dutch Oven

2nd choice- a 8.5 Calphalon Dutch Oven

When we got there I looked at them both and was looking at how much room I would need if I double the recipe. I decided to go with the 8.5 qt dutch oven and so glad I did. It is awesome and I can’t wait to use it next week. I will definitely have a post for sure.
