Haunted House — Round 2

Present Day: Round 2 of haunted houses. We decided to go to the “scariest” haunted hayride in the state, it is called Dead End Hayride. My sisters co-worker was telling her about it and said it was pretty scary and that you couldn’t run. Oh, did I mention they can touch you!!!!!! I was reading reviews of the hayride and I am pretty sure I peed myself. I can handle a hayride and a haunted house but a corn maze with a chainsaws. ย Ah NOPE, No Thanks! yikes. My sister told me to stop reading the reviews; I couldn’t help myself.

Flashback:ย  When I was young, I went to Wisconsin to visit my aunt and uncle on my mom’s side, we always watched scary movies, like Halloween, Friday the 13th, Pet Cemetery and many others. Again, I don’t know why we wanted to be scared. Over 10 years ago, we were visiting my aunt and uncle with the whole family, we went to a haunted trail, in the middle of nowhere and there were a lot of us, even grandma came with. I remember taking a hayride to the woods that dropped us off and we walked the trail. I remember my uncle freaking out because there was something on a zip line that was hitting him in the head and was wet and gross feeling. My cousin and I are one year apart in age and our birthdays are just after Halloween, so when we walked up to the witch’s campfire, they asked for someone and our families pushed us to the witches. Thanks family-love you too! The last thing I remember was the end when I heard the chainsaw and I have never ran so fast in my life. I think I even pushed grandma out of my way.

Present Day: We had a good size group went with us to the Dead End Hayride, it was my best friend, her husband, my sister and her friend joined Carl and I. We stopped by my sisters house to drop Arie off and to get some liquid courage. ๐Ÿ™‚ We met my friend at the place and there was no waiting in line because we got our tickets online, I highly recommend that!

Me and my best friend, I think that picture is funny because her husband is trying to photobomb and my sister is giving him the look. I love the picture of my friend!

Carl and I, trying to be brave as we get the crap scared out of us. Our threesome has been together and friends for many years! Thanks for meeting us friend.

The Hayride, was “interactive” if you want to put it that way. As we were going through the scenes, there were huge fire blowers that made loud noise and blew the fire out. Random people would jump out of the woods and actually jump up on the hayride. There was a group of teenage girls behind us that were freaking out like crying and my sister saved the day and sat by them. We sat in the in front row so we didn’t get bugged by the monsters except one of them jumped up behind Carl and was touching his ears and he jumped and pushed me off the hay bale. Thanks Honey! ๐Ÿ™‚

We survived the hayride. Now we are scared to go into the asylum. Yikes! I was more nervous about the monsters touching me and there was one guy dressed as a butcher who cornered me and was touching my hair. ICKY! I maybe was in the fetal position almost on the floor and was yelling and kicking to get out of the corner. I got out of the house and then it was the dreaded corn maze with the chainsaws, which was actually leaf blowers, so I wasn’t as scared. I think! ๐Ÿ™‚

After the haunted hayride we needed a reward and what better reward is a few cocktails at a good ole townie bar!
