Summertime Sunshine

Here are a few photos and adventures that we have had since summer has started!

Gobble Gobble Until You Wobble…

Happy Thanksgiving 2015! Man, where has the year gone already. I am sure many of you are happy the year has gone by quick and then there are those who are sad that it has flown by. It was another great dinner at my parents house; lots of laughs, good food and as always ate way to much.

Here are some fun photos from the day!

We had a fun time at home. On Friday, as we head back home we always stop to hang out with Carl’s parents. His dad- Papa M. had to work this time but we made sure to pay him a visit, Arie too! I dropped our rings off so they could be cleaned up, checked out and we wanted to get Carl’s buffed. When we got them back, they looked brand new, thanks Papa M.!!! We had a wonderful lunch with Carl’s mom and got to meet one of her jam session members, which was nice. We left his parents with an apple pie, some mulled wine, amish pocket pies and farm fresh eggs! It almost felt like Christmas!

Then home james as my Pa says.

Happy Thanksgiving- but remember to be thankful every day not just REALLY thankful one day out of the year!

Kitchen Must Haves…

Well, last Sunday a friend of mine had a Pampered Chef party, I wasn’t able to attend but was told there are a few kitchen staples I need to own! I talked to my sister and she said I needed the glass mixing bowl with the handle and the small spatula. I took her word for it and purchased them! πŸ™‚

I got the Classic Batter BowlΒ and the Mini-Serving Spatula.

I love the batter bowl because it is heavy duty and has a cover. The small spatula will be nice for getting in the corners of my pans! πŸ™‚ So glad I purchased both of these and completely agree with my sister that these two items are MUST HAVEs in the kitchen! πŸ™‚

Happy Cooking!

Ooo… Something Shiny!

Well, what a great evening!

I was driving home and thinking of what clothes I am going to change into. Well big surprise to me when I got home. I got home and Carl was making supper. πŸ™‚ He had made steaks, Pioneer Woman’s Crash hot potatoes and roast brussel sprouts. Yummy! To top it off we opened the fancyΒ ItalianΒ wine that a friend gave us. It had a glass crock. Fancy.

While we were waiting for super to cook we decided to open presents. I actually gave Carl his present on Saturday. I had gotten him a nice tool box with a few odds and ends tools he didn’t have.

Low and behold, Carl was amazing again. I thought the flowers were beautiful and he topped himself.

Carl had gotten me beautiful diamond hoop earrings from Martens Jewelry and he had gotten me a money tree from Bachman’s.

I feel so special because of Carl. What a nice evening staying home and enjoying each other and our company! πŸ™‚ I love ya Carl!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I feel that Valentine’s Day is more than just a flower, chocolate present kind of day. It is a day where you can really reflect on who in your life loves you and you can show that love back to those in your life. I believe you should show your love everyday and it doesn’t have to be reserved for one day! πŸ™‚

I had given Carl his Valentine’s Day present over the weekend. I had gotten him a nice toolbox with manly tools!

I got home yesterday from a day that went by so fast to Carl greeting me in the garage and opening the house door and finding a beautiful flower arrangement on the counter. He does a good job with picking out flowers! They are from Bachman’s and he said that when he went there it was packed with a bunch of guys!

Anyway, I wanted to share how beautiful the flowers are!

Enjoy your day and make sure you tell those around you how much you love them, not just today but everyday!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree… :)

And the excitement begins! What more do you need than getting a Christmas tree and decorating it to get you in the mood for Christmas. The cold weather and icky drizzle did not stop us from getting a tree. I have been waiting at least two weeks to get a tree. I felt like a kid in a candy store! So of course, I have to share the fun we had today getting our tree!

We were able to pick our tree and get it home in about 30 mins! Pretty good I think. We had went to Menards to get it, my mom told me a Fraiser Fir because is a good tree. So we picked out a 7ft one.

I wanted to name him and Carl came up with Fraiser! (how original right!) Β This is him in the trunk riding home. πŸ™‚

Me and Fraiser, we have to let the branches fall!

Our fun decorations we had picked out for our tree.

Fraiser before, looks kind of naked…

Fraiser all dressed up in his best! πŸ™‚

We had so much fun decorating our tree, I am in the Christmas mood. We had even watched the movie Elf and Four Christmas’ while we decorated.

I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend and getting into the holiday spirit!

Crazy Plant Lady

Hello All,

Since we have moved to a bigger place with a front door versus our old place with 3 flights of stairs and a locked entry, I decided I need a front door plant! πŸ™‚ I love the fall! I enjoy seeing what other people muster up to decorate their front doors. I have seen the scarecrows, the pumpkins, hay-bails and the beautiful fall plants. I thought to myself, “I want to be domestic too and decorate our front door.”Β  So I bought a plant arrangement. I wanted to do the arrangement myself, however; by the time I buy the pot and the plants to go in it, it can be pretty $$$ spendy!

So I found the perfect solution and had to take a few pictures! πŸ™‚

If you look real close you will see Red and Purple peppers! Can anyone tell me what kind they are?! I would like to know. Carl asked if he could eat them! haha I said No, until I can figure out what they are! πŸ™‚
