Between Saturday and Sunday of last weekend we got a total of about 12 inches of wet sticky snow that was a messy. Later in the afternoon we decided to go out and shovel the sidewalk and driveway. Yes, our association does that for us but they didn’t come by our place until about 2pm or so. We needed a place to walk and we wanted to let Arie play in the snow. Well the neighbors and their dogs were out shoveling and playing too.
Carl took a few pictures of Arie in the first big snow fall. Arie definitely loves the snow. The downfall is the wet snow stuck to Arie’s fur that he looked like a snowman. The second time the snow was clumped up his legs and his chest. We don’t have a mud room to let him thaw; so we dipped his paws in a bucket of lukewarm water to melt the clumps, then towel dried and brought out the blow dryer too. We were only outside for maybe an hour.
Here are a few of the pictures Carl took, they turned out great! 🙂
I love his ears and stance in this photo.
Such great pictures!!
Thank you.
That black and white one is really cool. Send some snow down this way!
You can have some of the snow. Carl captured some awesome pictures.
You weren’t kidding about the ice balls!
Yup, he has some massive snow clumps. Lol
Give Carl a pat on the back! Great images!
Great snow pictures!
The downfall of a dog that doesn’t shed – EVERYTHING sticks!
Toby the Goldendoodle has the same issue – we hiked with him for 4 hours in the snow, in the end I think there was more snow than dog!
